This new, completed Summerset village has over 290 homes, including two- and three-bedroom villas and apartments, one-bedroom serviced apartments and high-quality rest-home and hospital care. The village also includes 20 one-bedroom apartments in a safe environment for people living with dementia.

Urban Outcomes’ director Natasha Possenniskie provided Engineer to the Contract services for the civil and earthworks stages of the project. Her appointment into this role stemmed from the client’s desire to have a party acting as an independent representative outside of the consultant team. The Engineer to the Contract role requires a sound, impartial individual to make judgement calls on what is a fair outcome when claims are made under the contract.

Phase One of the civil and earthworks contract completed in early 2023. Phase Two commenced just prior to New Zealand moving to Covid Alert Level 4 which added complexity to the management of claims for these unprecedented events but allowed us to work through these methodically and logically, resulting in fair outcomes for all parties. Phase Two was completed in August 2023.
