The Sunset West Apartment development, situated on Victoria Street in Wellington’s CBD, comprises 64 one-bedroom apartments cleverly designed with sophistication and functionality in mind. The open-plan apartments all feature private balconies and clever integration of bedroom and living space with sliding divider walls to create privacy when required.
This six-storey apartment block has an innovative pad and ground beam foundation with structural steel and metal deck composite suspended concrete floor slabs. The structure’s symmetrical frames comprise hollow steel columns infilled with concrete to make the building both fire resistant and highly resilient.
Urban Outcomes Director Natasha Possenniskie provided specialist advisory services directly to the developer Nightingale Land Investments to assist with achieving Practical Completion on this project. By working closely with the full project team, she was able to ensure the very best outcomes for the parties involved in the Sunset West Apartment development.
